Asian Student Population Trends at U.S. Colleges (2010-2019)
For academic year 2019-2020, 1,265,413 Asian students (6.24% of total 20,274,611 students) have enrolled in U.S. colleges. In undergraduate programs, there are 1,063,988 Asian students and 201,425 students have enrolled in graduate programs. Most students are from China, South Korea, and Japan, but the other Asia countries such as Thailand and Vietnam have students at U.S. schools.
The Asian student population have been increased from 1,184,865 (5.59%) to 1,265,413 (6.24%) for last 10 years (2010-2019). Next table and chart show the number of enrolled Asian students for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
